OUR FELLOWSHIP…
World Christian Fellowship Ministries
The World Christian Fellowship Churches are the result of an unlikely group of ordinary men touched by the finger of God, spreading like wildfire from a global revival across the world…
SHAPING A MAN OF GOD
Our Pastor, Wayman O. Mitchell, became a born-again Christian in 1953, was baptized in the Holy Spirit in 1954, and became a pastor in 1960.
MEETING A NEED
In 1970, Pastor Wayman Mitchell (pictured) went to the small town of Prescott, Arizona. Shortly after arriving, God saved several young hippies who were very different from anyone in the church. But by welcoming them, God began to pour out His Spirit on the congregation.
SEIZING A MOVE OF GOD
As Pastor Mitchell sought to reach young people, they saw the possibilities of the concert ministry in the “coffeehouse-concert” setting. At the first concert they tried as an evangelistic tool, over 200 young people attended, with many being saved. From this, a regular concert ministry was born. Two nights a week, bands played, salvation testimonies were shared, and the Gospel was preached, with many coming to faith each night.

Laying the Foundations to Change the World
From the very beginning, Pastor Mitchell understood that the concert ministry would serve as a training ground for ministry development; it was led by young people committed to Jesus and His church. From the start, individuals who had been radically converted sought to share with others what God had done in their lives. Personal evangelism began to be one of the church’s foundational pillars.
Then came the impact teams: groups of people who would travel to nearby cities to help others experience what God was doing in their own community. Over time, God began to reveal His plan for discipleship: training young couples for ministry within a local church.
In 1973, the first couple was sent directly into ministry — and God blessed them! From there, churches began to be planted throughout the Southwest United States, and eventually beyond America, as new believers prayed for the Gospel to be preached in their hometowns.

Fulfilling God’s Mission
In 1978, the first couple was sent to plant a church in another
nation: Australia. We discovered that the Gospel worked
there just as it does here. After that, churches were planted
in Mexico, the Netherlands, and Germany. As we gained a
deeper understanding of God’s global mission, church
planting began to expand all over the world. Today, more than 4,000 churches have been planted in over 150 nations, and the number continues to grow daily. Pastor Mitchell himself also pastored effectively in many different countries, including Canada, the United States, and Perth, Western Australia. His ministry and influence reflected the desire of his heart to see individual lives transformed, redeemed, and serving God with purpose and dignity to fulfill the Great Commission.
Pastor Mitchell conducted numerous healing crusades around the world well into his nineties. Many have compared Wayman Mitchell to a modern-day Smith Wigglesworth because of the numerous remarkable and evident miracles of healing and deliverance associated with his ministry.
God used Pastor Mitchell, his late wife Nelda, and their family because of their willingness to follow Christ regardless of personal cost, sharing the Good News of Salvation across multiple nations. Pastor Mitchell went to be with the Lord in 2020, but the vision must continue — and you can be part of it!
What Could God Do With Your Life?
This church is the product of that vision and is working to see it expanded in the little time that remains before the return of Jesus. God has given us a vision for the day in which we live. Our message is simple, yet it is the cornerstone of all truth: Jesus Christ is the only hope for mankind’s salvation — and that is true for every person in every nation of the world!
In a world filled with empty dreams and false promises, one truth grows stronger with each passing year — Jesus Christ, and Him crucified!
